“The cranky puppy and the happy bear can both be looking at the same situation—spilling the milk—and have two very different versions of the story.” My mind has been racing with thoughts these days fine line between positivity and negativity and how it affects a person. The same situations displayed can be perceived in diverse lens and received in different banks of a person's heart. The cup filled with half-cup of water can be seen as "Wow, I've got half a cup of water to drink with a heart of thanks !" OR  "Oh my...how come i can only drink half a cup and not more, why is it so unfair?"  Hit right back at my heart as I do see situations like this reflected upon the speech of my very own kids. //Tribute to Mum// One of the very rare times my precious parents dressed up, and they looked so good!  Always with me in heart and soul throughout my growth and into motherhood. Through your lives I see what resilience meant.  Coming not from a well-to-do family when we are young, we ate the simplest meal each day and I still have flashes of memories when we are so much younger, collecting coins we saved to make into a roll of "tube" covering the coins with papers so we could count how many bags of rice we can afford to buy that month by counting how many rolls we rolled up. On rare good days when we could have fish in our mealtimes, mum will always say she is not hungry and leave the fish without bones for us and eat the remaining ones left with so much bones.I remember there are times when we have more to afford small treats, during my kindergarten days when I did well in my spelling I will have treats of "green popsicles" together with my bro...

//You ain't heavy, jump now//  Best brother award goes to...Sozo Tan! One of life's precious joy is to see your children helping and loving another. I am very thankful to have these two kids, who shows me what love is, but many times they do constantly test my patience showing my not so pretty side as well and helping me grow as an individual reflecting what's actually in the depth of my heart regarding different situations and challenging my belief system. //The Sequoia Tree Vs Community + Togetherness// General Sherman is a giant sequoia tree located in the Giant Forest of Sequoia National Park in Tulare County, in the U.S. state of California. By volume, it is the largest known living single stem tree on Earth. What about the Sequoia Tree? If there is one analogy we can use to teach our children about the strength of community and unity which signifies togetherness, it is with the sequoia, or giant redwood tree. Thank You Singapore Children's Society representative for taking time to come down and share with our five and six years old on how can we show care and concern to our community. This opened up their little minds how we can be thankful with the things they have and each child has the power to bless! Next up shall be discussion on what the children can do for the friends at the home together as a class. It has been an amazing time hearing the heart of what this beautiful lady does in Singapore Children Society, with the passion of wanting to serve the community ranging from children to adults.
