So we started our weekends planning our day with the boys so excited to want to watch Avengers Movie while our little babe at home ask if she could do some girlie things together instead of watching Avengers. There we proceed to have our Boys Day and Girls Date of cause with the approval of our man in the house . Boys watched the much raved about Avengers and we went on our way to do stuff, as she said, "Mummy its girl's date!"
Decided upon The Art Ground, located at 90 Goodman Arts Centre, with the new installations to check out and the space which Hannah has yet to explore and I've promised her I will bring her when they is a chance to. I've brought my whole school of hundred over kids for a field trip which spread across two days to The Art Ground, everyone loved the environment, heart behind what they do and yes, I've got a friend who was a part of this amazing work whom I am so proud of her and the amazing team. 
There's just so many workshops on weekends, so if you are looking for somewhere to go, this might just make your day right! 
I thoroughly enjoyed my time with this little girl, watching her run around happily, climbing up and down, persistent in doing some stunts and trying to make friends within the space. The best part is our precious heart to heart chats we enjoyed over a cup of baby chino that looks so cute.

Watching her from afar is a form of self-care for me, as I sipped the cup of coffee, the occasion glances she took to make sure I saw the attempts she took in climbing and as I smiled back it gave her more attempts to do so. What warms my heart today is to see Hannah dragging a movable bean bag to a child who was crying and ran off with a smile. Words unspoken yet her actions reflected her care for the crying child, asking her not to cry and this will make you feel better. The child looked at the bean bag and stopped, and indeed everyone has the power to lift up another person's heart! This gave me the chance to exchange conversations with the parent and mummies always have many common topics to chat about! 

This is my way of enjoying little things in life today, exploring spaces with my girl, heart to heart chats over baby chino and drinking a cup of coffee watching my child being happy and free, blessing another's child heart by giving what she thought will help that little heart. 

And I've learnt how to sit back, relax and do not feel bad to replenish self-care by drinking a cup of coffee or two. :) 

Thanks to my hubs giving us space as ladies to do girlie stuff together while you bond with our son.

//Birthday Reflection// So It's my birthday today and I officially crossed that mid-thirties line! Reflecting on how my years just fly past right before my eyes makes me wonder how time can be lost without intentionally making full out of every second! //You ain't heavy, jump now//  Best brother award goes to...Sozo Tan! One of life's precious joy is to see your children helping and loving another. I am very thankful to have these two kids, who shows me what love is, but many times they do constantly test my patience showing my not so pretty side as well and helping me grow as an individual reflecting what's actually in the depth of my heart regarding different situations and challenging my belief system.  //We don't always get it right, and it's ok// If any may feel stucked in any situation and can only see messes at your current situation, look deeper and you might be able to see that rainbow that is there shining causing a sense of warmth in the midst of chaos. :) Went to Singapore Art Museum and saw this beautiful rainbow reflection in the midst of entangled ropes which brings me to reflect upon many thoughts and hope it encourages all who read. Days of emotions may flood in, where many commitments fall on your laps on top of the art of juggling the different hats we wear daily, responsibilities to fulfill, and the relationships we held on in our heart might have a ripple effect of how we respond to different situations. //Special sharing in school//

Thank You Singapore Children's Society representative for taking time to come down and share with our five and six years old on how can we show care and concern to our community. This opened up their little minds how we can be thankful with the things they have and each child has the power to bless! Next up shall be discussion on what the children can do for the friends at the home together as a class. It has been an amazing time hearing the heart of what this beautiful lady does in Singapore Children Society, with the passion of wanting to serve the community ranging from children to adults. Invisible line between positive and negative

“The cranky puppy and the happy bear can both be looking at the same situation—spilling the milk—and have two very different versions of the story.” My mind has been racing with thoughts these days fine line between positivity and negativity and how it affects a person. The same situations displayed can be perceived in diverse lens and received in different banks of a person's heart. The cup filled with half-cup of water can be seen as "Wow, I've got half a cup of water to drink with a heart of thanks !" OR  "Oh my...how come i can only drink half a cup and not more, why is it so unfair?"  Hit right back at my heart as I do see situations like this reflected upon the speech of my very own kids. In this time and age where we need to keep up with the pace of life with many different expectations placed upon our shoulders be it at work, in school, at home, various mindsets presented to us on various occasions as well as culture that we are currently placed in can pull us to different directions. How do we juggle the different hats we wear daily with grace and to balance out our time and connect with loved ones? //Mum-Son Date// One on one attention?  Have you ever thought that within your family that group dynamic is very different from a one-on-one dynamic? While family time is so precious amidst our busy work-family balance, one to one attention given brings on that boost of extra flavor much needed for the soul. I've only come to realize recently that one on one attention is so important. Some children only come alive when you get them alone and give them space to talk. Spending time with our children individually is just so important, am sure it will reap benefits we know not of in the long run! What it does?  Individual time strengthens bonds between one another. Group dynamics are very different from one to one dynamics. Guess spending time alone fills up love tanks way faster than we expects as I've experienced first hand with my son as he verbalized his wish to just spend time alone with me, so it's just us and there's no need to fight for attenti

Never underestimate a child

I've been enjoying my time whenever I can with our two precious kids- 6 years old and 8 years old. They are amazing kids which we've been blessed with. Sometimes we tend to neglect the part of embracing achievements for our little ones as we as adults have set unrealistic expectations unknowingly. However our two kids always never fail to show me what perseverance met, how contented they were in little things, what resilience looks like in the face of a child and the many times they continue to practice in getting to where they are now. Our oldest son Sozo's dream is to be ninja warrior overcoming obstacles courses and determined to train his muscle as often as he could, while our daughter Hannah imitates and wants to be like his brother .
