Image
//Superheroes don't wear capes// Jason Wong's Workshop Just for DADS His humility can be felt  Sharing tips to all fathers  Moments of memories for fathers and children  Breakfast with dads Many dads in the house Never too late to share private moments with your child -over 80 fathers in the house turned up for our Father's Day Event- It was yet another memorable time for our dads in the house celebrating a day worth remembering- Father's Day. "Love-based parenting vs expectations-based parenting" Flashes of memories of my dad came to my mind, being the sole bread-winner of the house working hard and making ends meet. The traditional man with few words but shows love through actions of working hard makes me realised and only truly appreciate his way of love only when I reached my collage years  (Pretty late realisation-please do not be like me) and God opened up my eyes to see that tender and soft side of him...

//We don't always get it right, and it's ok//

 //We don't always get it right, and it's ok// If any may feel stucked in any situation and can only see messes at your current situation, look deeper and you might be able to see that rainbow that is there shining causing a sense of warmth in the midst of chaos. :) Went to Singapore Art Museum and saw this beautiful rainbow reflection in the midst of entangled ropes which brings me to reflect upon many thoughts and hope it encourages all who read. Days of emotions may flood in, where many commitments fall on your laps on top of the art of juggling the different hats we wear daily, responsibilities to fulfill, and the relationships we held on in our heart might have a ripple effect of how we respond to different situations. So what if we don't always get it right? Is that ok? What ripple effect do we create? This is what i hope for us, for me personally as well hoping it encourages all who might feel the same way with truckloads of emotions rushing towards you intern...

//Celebrate Unsung Heroes//

Image
"Who are these unsung heroes?" Celebrate unsung heroes with me because as we enjoy our moments with them we make this world a better place. Coming from point of view of a Pre-school Principal and parent, having firsthand experiences going through the journey of working with preschoolers on a daily basis with not just one, two, but whole lot of children all coming together with diverse personalities and emotions, understanding how one can get drained by end of the day with all their energy used up for the beautiful little ones under their care, I truly appreciate and honor with all my heart our unsung heroes of our society: Preschool Teachers or other wise known as Early Childhood Educators. Children can get extremely difficult and we all know there is no way to sprinkle rainbow sprinkles to sugar coat any situation. Our Preschool Teachers are unsung heroes for in the midst of the chaos at different situations as well as demands of a class full of children, the...

//Celebrate Women//

//Mother's Day Event// Coming together for one purpose: Celebrate Women as Mums The invisible crown each one wears each day Articulate Love spreading love across races and ages.  Cupcakes and love, mum's my protector. "Coming together is the beginning, keeping together is a progress, working together is a success."  Recalling the recent memorable event held in my preschool for a group of over 100 mummies/caregivers  to celebrate each  one in doing the best you know how for your child(ren). Amazing turn out and a wonderful start as I kick off with an inspiring encouragement and celebrating mummies for their hard work and heart work which will never be in vain, the songs items for mummies taught by amazing teachers where appreciation was given to teachers acknowledging and appreciating them as many do play as role of "mummies" in school for the children. :) So the thought "Cupcakes with mummies" came to my mind, and we execu...

Invisible line between positive and negative

Image
“The cranky puppy and the happy bear can both be looking at the same situation—spilling the milk—and have two very different versions of the story.” My mind has been racing with thoughts these days fine line between positivity and negativity and how it affects a person. The same situations displayed can be perceived in diverse lens and received in different banks of a person's heart. The cup filled with half-cup of water can be seen as "Wow, I've got half a cup of water to drink with a heart of thanks !" OR  "Oh my...how come i can only drink half a cup and not more, why is it so unfair?"  Hit right back at my heart as I do see situations like this reflected upon the speech of my very own kids. Do you have moments you question yourself why did your kids react in ways you felt inappropriate presented at different situations? Do you feel discouraged when you see children display negativity when they can choose to be positive? Yes, at times I do get af...

//Tribute to Mum//

Image
//Tribute to Mum// One of the very rare times my precious parents dressed up, and they looked so good!  Always with me in heart and soul throughout my growth and into motherhood. Through your lives I see what resilience meant.  Coming not from a well-to-do family when we are young, we ate the simplest meal each day and I still have flashes of memories when we are so much younger, collecting coins we saved to make into a roll of "tube" covering the coins with papers so we could count how many bags of rice we can afford to buy that month by counting how many rolls we rolled up. On rare good days when we could have fish in our mealtimes, mum will always say she is not hungry and leave the fish without bones for us and eat the remaining ones left with so much bones.I remember there are times when we have more to afford small treats, during my kindergarten days when I did well in my spelling I will have treats of "green popsicles" together with my bro...
